Airport Lounge Day Pass: How to Buy One-Time Access Without a Membership
How airport lounge day passes work: which lounges sell them, how to book, what they cost and what to check before you pay. No membership needed.
Last updated: October 06, 2026

An airport lounge day pass is the simplest form of airport lounge access: one lounge, one visit, booked per person, with no membership, airline status or premium credit card required. You book online, go through security, show your confirmation at the lounge desk and relax until your flight. This guide explains which lounges sell one-time access, how to book a pass, what it costs and what to check first.

What an airport lounge day pass includes
A day pass, also called a single-visit or one-time pass, covers:
- Entry for one person to one specific lounge, on the day of your departure
- The food, drinks, Wi-Fi and facilities that the lounge offers its guests
- A visit that is usually time-limited: many pay-per-use lounges admit you up to three hours before your scheduled departure
Each traveler in your group needs their own pass, and the pass is valid for the lounge you booked. Some lounges charge extra for premium drinks, showers or spa treatments, so check the lounge page for what is included.
Which lounges sell day passes?
Independent, pay-per-use lounges are built for this. Networks such as Aspire, Escape, No1, My Lounge and marhaba welcome passengers of any airline and any cabin class, as long as they have a valid pass. Some airline lounges also sell single visits when they have space, but many don't, and their rules change often. Lounges run by credit card issuers are designed around their own cardholders.
How to book an airport lounge day pass on LoungEasy
Search for your departure airport, compare the lounges by location, opening hours, amenities and price per person, and book the one that suits your flight. You can also browse every lounge by country. A few examples:
- The Aspire Lounge in Manchester Terminal 2, listed with the other Manchester Airport lounges
- The Essence Lounge at Bristol Airport, on the mezzanine of the departure lounge
- The Primeclass Lounge in JFK Terminal 1, one of several JFK lounges that sell passes
- The Escape Lounge at Sacramento International
Booking ahead matters because lounges can stop admitting walk-in guests when they are full, which is common on busy mornings and holiday weekends. With a pass booked, your visit is planned before you reach the airport. LoungeBuddy, once a popular place to buy these passes, closed in January 2025; our guide to LoungeBuddy alternatives explains where travelers book now.
How much does a lounge day pass cost?
Prices are per person and depend on the lounge and the airport. On LoungEasy, most passes are listed at €55 per person at the time of writing (September 2026), while some lounges cost less: the iGA Lounge for international departures at Istanbul Airport is listed at €44 and the marhaba lounge at Dubai World Central at €25. The total for your group is shown before you pay.
Our guide to airport lounge deals covers the practical ways to keep the cost down, from choosing the right lounge to timing your visit.
Day pass, membership or credit card?
- Day pass: best if you fly a few times a year or only want a lounge for a specific trip. No annual fee and no commitment.
- Lounge membership: worth considering if you use lounges many times a year across different airports. Count your likely visits before you pay an annual fee.
- Credit card benefit: useful if you already hold the card. Check visit limits, guest fees and which lounges are included; when your card doesn't cover a lounge, a day pass fills the gap.
How to use your pass at the airport
- Check which terminal the lounge is in and whether it is before or after security.
- Go through security and follow the signs, or the directions on the lounge page.
- Show your booking confirmation and your boarding pass at the lounge desk.
- Keep an eye on the time limit and your boarding time.
LoungEasy passes are non-refundable unless they are marked as refundable when you buy them. LoungEasy guarantees that the lounge will accept you during its opening hours: if a lounge refuses entry even though your pass is valid, contact LoungEasy with the details and, once the refusal is confirmed with the operator, the pass is refunded to your original payment method.
What to check before you book
- The lounge's opening hours against your departure time
- The terminal, and the type of departure it serves (domestic or international)
- The time limit and how early you can enter
- The children's policy, if you are traveling as a family
- Whether you want a refundable pass, if one is offered
Airport lounge day pass FAQs
Can you buy a day pass for any airport lounge?
No. You can book passes for lounges that welcome passengers of any airline, such as most independent lounges. Many airline and credit card lounges only admit eligible passengers or cardholders.
Can I bring a guest with my day pass?
Each person needs their own pass. When you book on LoungEasy, the price is per person and the total for your group is shown before you pay.
How long can I stay in the lounge?
Most pay-per-use lounges set a limit, commonly up to three hours before your scheduled departure, so plan your arrival with that window in mind.
Can children use a lounge day pass?
Usually, with an accompanying adult, but policies vary. Some premium lounges are adults-only, and infants go free at some lounges. If you're unsure about age rules, contact LoungEasy's support team before booking for the family.
What is a landside lounge?
A landside lounge is before security, so you can use it before you check in or while you wait for someone. The VIP One lounge at JFK, for example, is landside and includes fast-track security. Most lounges are airside, after security.
What is the etiquette in an airport lounge?
Lounges are shared, quiet spaces. Keep calls short and your volume down, respect quiet zones, keep bags off the seats at busy times and leave when your time limit is up.
Do I need a boarding pass to use a day pass?
Yes. Lounges generally ask to see your boarding pass for a departing flight together with your booking.
Is an airport lounge day pass refundable?
On LoungEasy, passes are non-refundable unless they are marked as refundable at the time of purchase. If you are refused entry with a valid pass, you are refunded once the refusal is confirmed.
